Hi Steve,Bought the Darkroom Booth software in the beginning of December and it's been a great experience so far. I am looking for a photo booth for a business that is a medium sized venue in the 3,000 sq. ft. range. I have had a lot of fun with my photo booth and I am trying to determine how it will fit in the venue. I have been looking at the one you suggested on the Darkroom Booth website. It says the booth can be any size. Is that true? If so, does the booth come with a template or screen that will fit into the area? I have not found any that look like the one you have listed. Where can I find these?
What a great software! I really like it. I had been using Photoshop Elements 11 for years and wanted something more user friendly for my photo booth. I just love the way the darkroom booth can automatically adjust to the booth size. The booth allows me to preview the photos in each session.
I have used Darkroom Booth for the past few months and I have to say I was hesitant to purchase. As a photo booth software user for some time, I was a bit anxious about the new software but I am so pleased with it! I have done more events with DRB than any other software and I have had great success with it. It runs on a Pentium 4, 1GB RAM, 512MB video card and uses a Windows XP Professional operating system. The software is easy to use for the most part, it runs smoothly and the templates are great. The only drawback I found was occasionally when I preview an image the software will freeze for about a minute and then it will work. This happens every time I preview a photo.
I am getting ready to start my photo booth business and have been using the DRB software for the past six months to create my own templates and to add effects and extra features. It is the best photo booth software on the market. The camera that comes with the software is very basic but the quality is great. The biggest drawback is the price. The price is so much higher than other photo booth software.
The one thing that we really like is the ability to integrate with our web site. This means we are able to make the Darkroom screens really interactive. We can make the Darkroom Booth a part of our website, allowing a bride to send a thank you photo to her mom, or a bridesmaid giving a hug at the wedding. That's not something that we could do with the other software.
