When we decided to download and play Poptropica for the first time in forever, we wasnt expecting what we got. It was cool that there were new islands since the last time we played it, but thats about the only positive we have for it and the only thing keeping this review from being a one star review. First off, why do Poptropicon, Arabian Nights, and Survival have episodes locked behind a paywall? Furthermore, why do Arabian Nights and Survival only have two episodes each!? Survival has three whole episodes missing and theyre the most fun episodes! Plus, we couldnt get access to normal outfit selections. We could only buy special outfits with in-game currency. We dont know if it was because of the event going on or something, but we wasnt a fan. But the most damning thing of all is that the app is a glitch fest. There was a moment that the speech bubbles were huge and we couldnt see all the options for our character. Sometimes, characters will freeze in a pose or things wont load in properly and it looks really strange. The glitch issue is most apparent in the Zomberry minigame and made it enraging to play. We couldnt get our jumps to land (especially with the girl that pops out of the trash can) and half the time, the inputs to get the pineapple jelly gun to shoot didnt register. We got so many unfair deaths because our gun wasnt shooting and we ended up passing out from fear. Overall, the game feels a lot more boring and frustrating than it once was. Sure, it has some fun elements, but it doesnt make up for it being glitchy and having exclusive content that has no reason for being exclusive.

We love this game so much and have played it for years,ever since around 3rd grade. Now as a 20 year old we find myself wanting to play again,but when we downloaded this app and tried to play the survival island it keeps crashing when we move the boulder. Wish we could play to it full potential but we guess it will be left in the past. 2b1af7f3a8
